Exploring Muscle Synergies in Function

20th April 2018

SYNERGIES: MULTI-JOINT SYNERGIES IN ALIGNMENT & CO-ORDINATION

Making sense of multi-joint movement and muscle synergies

This module evaluates whole body movement patterns to help change muscle function associated to pain, pathology and compromised function. This systemised evaluation helps therapists establish a more optimised movement system for their patients.

The hugely practical course helps enhance clinicians’ observation and analysis of patterns of muscle synergies in functional tasks and offer more options for retraining efficient movement strategies. Easy to use facilitation strategies to change the way your patients move in daily life.

The main focus of this course is to explore functional activities in patients, to build understanding of muscle actions and the observing of muscle synergists’ activation patterns to inform clinicians of movement patterns associated with pain and impaired function.

This course combines classic and contemporary evaluation methods with Kinetic Control’s world renowned and innovative movement assessment and retraining, developing the ability to cue patients for facilitation of more optimal patterns. The clinical value of these skills is both immediate and long-term improvements in function and pain.
