Kinetic Control Movement Therapists (KCMTs) are accredited by Kinetic Control following detailed study of the KC Concept and a rigorous examination process at Masters level to a University standard. Kinetic Control Clinical Associates (KCCAs) are accredited by Kinetic Control as having demonstrated application of our concepts in a clinical framework. These therapists are able to help you identify your movement faults associated with pain and disability and design a programme tailored specifically for your needs.
Over the last 10 years, much evidence has emerged to demonstrate the link between movement faults and musculoskeletal pain. KCMTs have studied the science behind this emerging field, so that you can be sure your treatment will be based on cutting-edge research from around the world.
Research has shown that active rehabilitation is the most effective form of management of musculoskeletal problems, including chronic back and neck pain. Motor control retraining programmes have been shown to reduce pain, decrease disability, increase function, and improve movement, be it shoulder, arm, hip, knee, foot or spine which is the problem.
Most musculoskeletal pain occurs of problems or 'faults' in the way we move. These faulty movement patterns develop over time through the normal stresses of life, or may be associated with sporting activities or particular movements you find painful or difficult to perform. KCMTs adn KCCAs aim to help you manage your musculoskeletal pain, treat recurrent injuries and restore you to your full potential.
